We "Come" to Meet You!
With the beginning of the new liturgical year, we Benedictine Nuns begin our BLOG. We hope to meet you, welcome you into our community, and have you get to know us better.
We want to learn what you are thinking and hear your questions about “vocation” to religious life in general and to our community in particular. We desire to share aspects of our monastic life with you that will help you both in your discernment of your vocation in life and in living a life of deeper union with God.
About three weeks ago, this full rainbow awaited our community as we finished Terce (one of the “little hours” of the Divine Office or Liturgy of the Hours) and lasted about 15 minutes—long enough for a great photo shoot!
At the beginning of Advent, we “come” to meet you and speak with you about your heart’s deepest desires to know and love and serve God in this time, in this culture. This rainbow reminds us of God’s promise to be always with us and we Benedictine nuns want to share our experience of God’s fidelity with you.
