The rainbow, the visible sign of God’s promise to His people after the Flood, always brings joy to our hearts and reminds us of the other covenants that God has made with us both in the Old and New Testaments.
Each Mass renews the New Covenant in the Blood of His Son. The rainbow also reminds us of the covenant He makes with us in Baptism that is lived out by some through the marriage covenant, others in the single life and some of us in the vowed religious life.
